Scholarships at Plymouth Marjon University

Sport is at the heart of Marjon. With first class facilities on campus and constant one on one support, our scholars benefit from being part of a close community in our beautiful city. 

As a smaller institution we’re able to provide dedicated mentoring to our scholars with monthly sessions. We believe this level of contact provides a unique level of support.

At Marjon our scholarship program is grounded in providing athletes the opportunity to flourish as competitors while developing their careers through a range of academic courses.

What’s on offer as a Marjon Scholar?

Direct financial support – bursaries of up to £4,000 are available per year

Free access to our full support network – 

• Marjon Sport & Health Centre – gym, swimming pool & sports hall

• Marjon Sport & Health Clinic – rehabilitation, sport massage & Osteopathy Clinic 

• BUCS membership & individual BUCS entry fees covered.

• Sport Psychology, strength & conditioning sessions and performance sports kit

• Monthly mentoring sessions covering all aspects of the student experience

Who can apply for an Elite Sport Scholarship?

• To be eligible for a Marjon elite Sport Scholarship you must either have applied to study at, or already be studying at, Plymouth Marjon University

• Able to represent Marjon in BUCS competitions & wider sporting competitions

• Competing/representing at a national or international level in your respective sport
