Founded in 1495, the University of Aberdeen is one of the UK’s most internationally distinguished universities. It has a student population of around 14,500 and a large international community of students and staff drawn from over 120 different countries.
Aberdeen is a full spectrum University and offers around 550 bachelor degree programmes and 140 master’s degree programmes. Aberdeen, the oil and gas Capital of Europe, is a thriving international city and the University of Aberdeen is a recognised world leader in many areas of the oil and gas energy industry. These include Geology and Petroleum Geology, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Environmental Science, and Marine Biology.
